Lord Jesus we thank you for the entrance of your word brings light and understanding to the simple. We are ready to be lit up by your word tonight. Please minister to us as your word comes forth now. In Jesus name we pray"🤲🏼
The theme for this program has been tagged "Equipped For Emergence"

Let me begin this way:

2nd Timothy 3:17

The verse describes a reality which is God's desire for everyone of us in Him
It says "That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
The word "furnish" is similar to the word "equip" in usage. It means to provide something or make something available.
If we join it with the word "thoroughly" as used in the scripture, then it means "to be equipped with all that is needed"
So it means that it is a sure possiblity for us to come to a point where we are sufficiently stocked up with all that is needed to dispense God's assignment upon our lives.

In line with this, there are various tools ordained by God, through which we become equipped for His mandate upon us. Examples include Study of the word, Prayer, Fellowship with the brethren, etc.
However, for the time I have, I will be focusing on the topic; "EQUIPPED FOR EMERGENCE THROUGH PRAYER"

Jude 1:20 describes how that it is possible for us to grow and be equipped with new features in our spirit when we pray.

It says "But you, beloved, keep building yourselves up in your most holy faith, {by} PRAYING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT!
1. Prayer affords us the platform for fellowship with God
Now, I'll tell you why this is important towards our emergence..
We understand from the scriptures that God is the source of everything, and all things consist in Him. So therefore, whatever it is that we're looking for, it can be found in Him

2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
If we will truly do anything tangible for God, we can't do it outside of fellowship with Him
As we pray and just commune with the father in worship, we stir up the atmosphere of the shekinah glory of God in that place we are
And right as our fellowship with God is going on, we begin to interact with His shekinah glory
No boundaries, no restrictions, just ourselves face-to-face with the glory of God
And as we continue, something starts to happen... The weakness of our flesh begins to give way
The ever-pure and perfect glory of the father begins to eat up our weaknesses, and in exchange, the abilities of the father begins to rob off on us
Such that nobody who truly had fellowship with the father remains the same
There is an exchange that happens in that intimate time with God
You go in as a weak man, but you come out as a man better equipped with His strength, grace and signature of His presence
In that time of prayer, you might go in confused, lacking clarity, and as you begin to worship and pray with all sincerity and openness of heart, you begin to see clarity eventually set in to a number of things
You go in fearful but you come out bold as a Lion, ready to take on anything!
Remember that I mentioned earlier that everything we are looking for exists in God. So it means that as we tarry with Him in prayer, we are also granted access to all that's in Him
Such that the more I pray, the more it becomes evident that I carry God
And then His fullness begins to find expression through me more and more
I decided to start with this because all other purposes of prayer derive their importance from this particular one
If your place of fellowship with God is intact, then You're set and ready for anything God would have you do
Colossians 2:3 says that In Him is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
So therefore as you pray, you become exposed to every form of wisdom and knowledge you need per time

You might be confused about something or what to do next.

My brother, my sister, just get in the place of prayer! And with a open heart, pray earnestly in the spirit about that matter
Do this, and strike until you hit that gusher in the spirit
Have that matter opened before you, and just press on it with God until wisdom is made available
I decided to tow this path now because of certain persons I perceive that are in need of clarity as touching pressing issues
There are things you have to do but it just isn't clear yet
Go on a fast with The word, do this alongside earnest praying, with every other distractions pushed aside, you will eventually hit that point of unlocking the wisdom, knowledge and understanding you need
 I'll just list a bit of the other things prayer does for us.

•Growth as a believer

•Access to the mind of God

•Transformation by the spirit

•Discerning and resisting temptation

•Prayer as a tool for keeping your soul in check in spite of surrounding pressures

• Quelling Afflictions

•Intercession

• Quenching unbelief with respect to the things God will have you do

Etc.

However, like I said.

The purpose of prayer for fellowship with God is the foundational purpose of prayer that unlocks the other purposes of prayer
Without it, you limit the essence of prayer and restrain your capability to emerge via it
