The Purpose Landmark - Kathryne Tiwalade

Very quickly, I’d just be giving a charge and I pray that the Spirit of God helps us to realize, fully, its efficacy.

Jude 1:3(AMP)_Beloved, my whole concern was to write to you in regard to our common salvation. [But] I found it necessary and was impelled to write you and urgently appeal to and exhort [you] to contend for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints [the faith which is that sum of Christian belief which was delivered verbally to the holy people of God]._

This book of Jude is like one of the most underrated books in the bible πŸ˜„We only pick Jude 1:20 and run off

Jude had something else in mind to write about, yh? But he thought it necessary to reiterate about contending for the faith... Basically, defending the Gospel that saved us to begin with. The sum of our Christian belief is the GOSPEL.

The Gospel of Salvation, the Gospel of the Kingdom, the Gospel that saved us and brought us into the kingdom of light.

This Gospel, being the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16), is the only ticket to being on the Lord’s side.

And what is the Gospel?

The reason why Jesus came.

His ministry on earth, His death, burial and resurrection.

Moving forward,

I’d like to ask 3 questions upon which this session would stand.

1. Are you sent?

2. Who sent you?

3. What have you been sent to do?

These questions are very crucial because the answers help you to fully understand whether you’d follow, strictly, the principles of the One who sent you or whether you can easily get tangled with the world and all of its carnality.

See, if you’re sent, it means you have a purpose, a goal, a mission, a finish-line set before you. So, you’re focused on something, an assignment.

“Discovery of purpose” should not be the first topic to teach someone who doesn’t even know if he is sent or not. If you don’t know you’re sent, which purpose do you want to discover? πŸ‘€

When you know, for sure that you’re sent, you can now go ahead to *discover* what you have been sent to do...

Are we getting this?

Part of the GoodNews for every believer is knowledge that we’re all sent! If you’re saved, know now, you are sent!

To be saved is to be sent.

*2Corinthians 5:17-19(ESV)*

_17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come._

_18. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;_

_19. that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation._

As simple as these may seem, it’s the summary of our ministerial journey.

:Now, To the second question...: Questions like “Where do we draw the line?”, “Whose standard do we follow?”, “Can I be secular and spiritual at the same time?”...

If you know who sent you, you’d not dwell in this confusion.

: The knowledge of who sent us gives us light and clarity!

If God sent you, really, if you’re sure that God sent you, His laid-out principles will be extremely dear to your heart.

*Psalm 19:8(AMP)*

_The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure and bright, enlightening the eyes._

David was someone who understood the person of His Master.

He didn’t joke with the principles of God.

Even with just the Spirit upon o

And we do not only have the Spirit upon, we now have the Spirit within!

The ability that you need, the help that you need to follow God’s principles have been made available.

This is why I’m somewhat surprised when I hear questions like this;

“Am I still saved if I do this or do that?”

Answer this one first,

*Who sent you?!*

If it’s God, please, just stay within His principles and don’t stress πŸ˜„

Why try to maneuver your way around His restrictions?

See ehn, true freedom is when you’re comfortable within the restrictions that God has laid down!

 The words in the Bible

The instructions, precepts, principles, commands...

God wasn’t capping o

To wander outside these things would be to wander out of God’s will.

And there’s no gray area

You’re either in God or you’re not.

The answer to the 3rd question is here

Whatever we’ve been sent to do is what we steward.

The Gospel being the summary of it all.

It is in fellowship that you now unravel and understand the specifics, what to do per time.

I’ll leave us with this final verse

*2Timothy 2:19(AMP)*

_But the firm foundation of (laid by) God stands, sure and unshaken, bearing this seal (inscription): The Lord knows those who are His, and, Let everyone who names [himself by] the name of the Lord give up all iniquity and stand aloof from it._

The principles of God stands sure!*

Don’t even bother trying to spice it up to suit your own needs or fulfill carnal desires. πŸ₯²

Are you sent? Did God send you?

Then, stay!

Within His confines, stay!

To look outside the Word is to enter dangerous territory.

Why set yourself up for destruction, really?

Lastly,

Don’t just stay, defend it.

Contend for the faith.

Preach the standard! Until everyone you know, knows it πŸ˜„...

We’re strengthened! For so much more in Jesus’ name.
